What Rejuran is
Rejuran is a brand name used for injectable products containing polynucleotides, often shortened to PN. The material is delivered through many small injections into the skin. It is marketed as a skin-quality treatment rather than a volumising filler or a muscle-relaxing injection.
The phrase salmon DNA is common in clinic marketing, but it is not enough to identify what will be injected. Ask for the exact product name, formulation, amount and Philippine FDA registration or authorization that applies to that product. A generic description cannot be checked in the regulator's database.
What the evidence actually shows
A 2025 systematic review found nine studies involving 219 patients. Several reported improvements in wrinkles, texture or elasticity, but the review rated the studies as low or moderate quality and found substantial variation in injection areas and techniques. Its conclusion was promising potential, not settled proof.
A randomized split-face trial in 27 people compared polynucleotide injections with non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid around the eyes. Overall aesthetic scores were not significantly different, although some measures of elasticity, hydration, roughness and pore volume favoured PN at particular points. No serious adverse events were reported in that small trial.
That is enough evidence to discuss Rejuran as a plausible skin-quality option. It is not enough to promise pore removal, scar removal, lifting or a fixed duration of benefit for every patient.
Why the published prices cannot be compared cleanly
SOI Clinic publishes a ₱25,000 to ₱50,000 range and says the final price depends on area and formulation. Remedy publishes a starting price of ₱30,000. Neither source states a standard number of millilitres in the price shown, and a starting price is not a quote for a complete plan.
Before comparing clinics, ask what product and formulation are included, how much is injected per visit, which areas are covered, who performs the injections and how many visits are being proposed. Without those details, two prices can describe different purchases.
What to expect after the injections
Small raised bumps at the injection points, redness, tenderness, swelling and bruising are expected short-term effects. Remedy says its injection bumps usually fade within 24 to 72 hours; that is the clinic's published guidance, not a guarantee for every patient.
Because this is an injection, cleanliness, product traceability and a clear escalation route matter. Seek urgent medical assessment for severe or increasing pain, pale or dusky skin, spreading redness, fever, or any visual symptom rather than waiting for a routine follow-up.
What Rejuran treats
- Fine surface lines and skin texture, where the aim is gradual skin-quality change rather than added volume
- The thin under-eye area in selected patients, after an assessment of whether volume loss or pigmentation is actually the concern
- Dry or crepey-looking skin where modest changes in hydration and elasticity would be useful
What it will not do:
- Loose skin that needs a true lifting procedure or surgery
- Hollowing that requires structural volume rather than a skin-quality treatment
- Active acne, infection or an undiagnosed rash in the injection area
- A guaranteed permanent result. Published studies are small and protocols are not standardized
Who it suits
It may suit an adult seeking a subtle skin-quality change who understands that the evidence is promising but still limited.
It does not suit someone expecting a facelift, the volume of a filler or a guaranteed change after one visit.
